Day 1

Beautifull west Bali and Mt. Ijen at Alas Purwo National Park.

After early breakfast proceeding through west Bali to the ferry harbor of Gilimanuk. Cross over to Java island about 60 min. Interesting drive through plantations of rubber and clove and the dense mountain jungle of Alas Purwo National Park. At the ranger station we start to hike up Mt. Ijen 2400m, app. 90min. Half way, picnic lunch. Explore a traditional sulfur mine deep down in the crater, where mine workers carries up to 100kg pure sulfur rocks on their shoulders, out of the steep crater. After refreshments procceding to the coast to overnight at Ketapang Indah.    (B, L)

Day 2

Bali’s dry north coast and cooler mountain lake region. 

In the morning we cross back to Bali and proceeding along the dry north coast. Swimming and snorkeling in a quite bay of the Bali Sea. Lunch at a beach restaurant. Serpentine road up to the twin lakes Tamblingan and Buyan. Visit a traditional market in Bedugul, well known on the island for it’s fresh tropical fruits and original local spices. Day 1

West Bali- and Baluran National park.

Morning departure to Negara region. Light breakfast on one of the empty beaches en route. After an app. 3 hrs. trekking through West Bali National Park, cross by car ferry to east Java/ 1hr. Lunch at restaurant. During sunset arr. at Baluran National Park. BBQ dinner at the camp fire. Night time Safari by Jeep, to watch the nocturnal wildlife of the park. If you are lucky you may see wild dogs, Java oxen, deer’s …Overnight at the ranger station / Simple.                                                                                                   (B, D)  

Day 2

The Merapi National Park.

Photo hunting in the massive Savannah  area of the Park. After breakfast an interesting drive, passing rubber and clove plantation and the dense cloud jungle of Alas Purwo National Park to reach the Ranger Station, the starting point to hike up Mt. Ijen 2400m. Follow a shady trail of the sulfur carrier up to the crater for app. 90 min. Explore the traditional sulfur mine deep down in the crater. After a picnic lunch proceeding back to the coast. Overnight at Ketapang Indah cottages, a seafront hotel.                                                                                       (B, L)   

Day 3

Bali’s north coast and central highland.

In the morning we cross back to Bali and proceeding along the dry north coast. Swimming and snorkeling in a quite bay of the Bali Sea. Lunch at a restaurant on the beach. Day 1

West Bali- and Baluran National Park.

Morning departure through west Bali for an appr. 2 hrs trekking through the West Bali National Park. In Gilimanuk the ferry harbor, cross over to Java island/ about 40 min. Lunch at a sea side restaurant (shower facilities available). During sunset we will enter Baluran National Park. BBQ at the campfire. Night Safari by jeep in the savanna area of the National Park. If you are lucky, you may see wild boars, Java dears, Java oxen (bos javanicus) and other animals. Lodge accommodation at the ranger station.                                                (D)

Day 2

Mt. Ijen at Alas Purwo National Park.

After breakfast an interesting drive, passing rubber and clove plantation and the dense cloud jungle of Alas Purwo National Park to reach the Ranger Station, the starting point to hike up Mt. Ijen 2400m. Follow a shady trail of the sulfur carrier up to the crater/app.90 min. Explore the traditional sulfur mine deep down in the crater/ weather permitting, where mine workers are carrying up to 100 kg. pure sulfur rocks out of the steep crater. Day 3

Bali’s north coast and central highland.

After breakfast transfer to Ketapang the ferry harbor to cross back to Bali island. Drive along the dry north coast and stop for a refreshing swim and snorkel to explore the underwater world in a quite bay of the Bali Sea. Lunch at a beach restaurant. Serpentine drive up to Bali’s cooler lake region where you reach the twin lakes Tamblingan and Buyan. Feed grey monkeys along the mountain roads and visit the Ulun Danu Temple build on the shore line of lake Bratan. Visit a traditional market in Bedugul, well known on the island for it’s fresh fruits and original local spices. Day 4

River rafting.

After a morning transfer through spectacular scenery of terraced rice fields, arrive at the starting point of your rafting tour on Bali’s most beautiful river. Introduction and safety information’s will be held before you will follow the stream through rapids, jungle, and steep cannon. Enroute a stop at a waterfall to refresh or to swim in the river. At the finish point a warm buffet lunch awaits you. Hot and cold shower facilities available. Day 1

West Bali-and Baluran National Park.

Early morning depart to west Bali for an app. 2,5 hrs. trekking through the West Bali National Park. Proceeding to the ferry harbor of Gillimanuk and cross over to Java island. Lunch at a sea front restaurant on east Java side. Before sunset we will enter the Baluran National Park. BBQ at the camp fire. Night safari by jeep through the Park. Day 2

Mt. Bromo 2400m.

Sunrise photo hunting through the savanna region of the Park. After breakfast proceed to Mt. Bromo, passing teak wood forests and the north coast of east Java. Lunch at the harbor town of Probolinggo. In the afternoon an app. 2 hrs. walk on the outer wall of the giant crater of the Tengger volcano group, with breath taking view of Mt. Bromo active volcano world. Overnight at Bromo Hotel.                                                     (B)                                           

Day 3

Tengger National Park.

At 4:30 am. depart by jeep to the top of Mt. Penanjaan 2700m. the best view point to experience a sunrise over Mt. Bromo. Hike up the crater of  Mt. Bromo app. 300 steps. Picnic breakfast on the foot of Mt. Bromo. Explore and cross the giant outer crater of the Tengger volcano group and drive through the sea of extinct lava sand. Along the south Java route we proceed to the town of Kali Baru, where we will overnight at Margo Utomo Cottages/ with pool.                                                                                                                       (B)                                               

Day 4

Sulfur mine at Mt. Ijen.

After breakfast we will leave for Alas Purwo National Park to discover the active crater of Mt. Ijen 2400m. For the more energetic one may explore the traditional sulfur mine deep down in the crater where mine workers are carrying up to 90 kg. of pure sulfur rocks out of the crater. Afternoon drive through plantations of coffee, cloves and rubber. At the town of Banyuwangi, we overnight at Ketapang Indah, sea front Cottages.          (B+L)                     

Day 5

North coast and lake region of Bali.

During morning light we will cross back by car ferry to Bali island. Follow the north coast we will drive up to Bali’s lake region in the central highland. Visits of Ulun Danu, a Hindu Temple build on the shores of lake Braten. Lunch at a lake view restaurant. Before heading to your booked hotel, a stop will be made at Candi Kuning traditional fruit, spices and orchid market.
